Can we be reached by public transport?
Yes, we are a 10 to 15 minute walk from the Waidbadstrasse bus stop. You can enjoy the wonderful view over Zurich, deer and forest.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, we are pet friendly! Well-behaved dogs are welcome in our restaurant. We even have a small selection of treats for our furry friends.
Are there enough parking spaces?
Yes, we have plenty of free parking spaces available for our guests.
Is fondue available all year round?
Yes. We love cheese fondue! That's why the cheese fondue is one of our highlights in the restaurant. We are also the only restaurant in Zurich that turns it into a festival at discretion (3 people or more).
Do we have hot food all day?
We offer warm meals between 11:30 a.m. and 8:45 p.m. We only allow our kitchen team a break between 4:45 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Is there a children's menu at Ticino Grotto?
Yes, we have a special children's menu with child-friendly portions and dishes that the youngest guests will enjoy.
Can the restaurant be rented for private parties or events?
Absolutely! Our restaurant can be rented for private parties, corporate events and special occasions. Contact us for more information about availability and details.
What kind of specialties does Ticino Grotto serve?
We offer authentic Ticino cuisine, including polenta dishes, risotto, gnocchi, Mistkratzerli specialties and traditional meat dishes such as osso buco.
Does the restaurant offer vegetarian or vegan options?
Yes, we have a wide selection of vegetarian dishes on our menu. We offer authentic Ticino cuisine, but unfortunately purely vegan dishes are rarely included. However, we offer our vegan guests alternatives on site beyond our menu.
Does the Ticino Grotto take intolerances and allergies into account when preparing the food?
Yes, we attach great importance to respecting our guests' needs in this regard. If you have intolerances or allergies, please inform our service staff when ordering. All of our dishes are carefully labeled with instructions for the most common intolerances to gluten and lactose.
